Clinical Study: Non-invasive Approach to Treating Acne with Zemits Technologies at Monika Hofmann Aesthetics

Case study by Monika Hofmann, Aestehtic Expert

Acne can be a challenging skin condition, particularly when inflamed, combined with post-acne hyperpigmentation, congestion, oiliness, and large pores. Treating inflamed acne requires a careful and comprehensive approach to avoid further irritation and spread of bacteria.

This clinical study presents the results of an eight-session treatment using a combination of Zemits technologies, manual techniques, and skincare products. The case involves a 24-year-old Chinese Asian female with Fitzpatrick Skin Type IV, struggling with inflamed acne, cysts, blackheads, and post-acne hyperpigmentation.

Treatment Protocol
First Three Sessions: Gentle Chemical Peels + Blue LED light Therapy with Zemits LumiBetter

Due to the high level of inflammation, the initial sessions focused on calming the skin and preventing bacterial spread.
A gentle chemical peel was performed to lightly exfoliate, followed by blue LED lamp therapy to kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.
Fourth Session: HydroDiamond facial using Zemits HydroVerstand combined with Chemical Peel + manual Extractions

Step 1️⃣: Exfoliation and Extraction
  • Using the Zemits HydroVerstand device and Zemits SalicPure solution with salicylic acid, I gently exfoliated the congested skin, following preparation with steam to loosen dead skin and impurities for easier extraction.
Step 2️⃣: Chemical Peel
  • A chemical peel was applied to target post-acne hyperpigmentation, control sebum production, and kill acne-causing bacteria.
Step 3️⃣: Manual Extractions
  • Post-peel, manual extractions were done to remove deep congestion, followed by high-frequency therapy to stop bleeding and kill bacteria in the extracted areas.
Step 4️⃣: Blue LED Therapy with Zemits LumiBetter
  • A 15-minute blue LED therapy session was used to further reduce inflammation, kill bacteria, and promote skin healing.
Step 5️⃣: Cooling Mask
  • To calm the skin after extractions, a Zemits Silkentox clay or Q-refresh algae cooling mask was applied for 15-20 minutes, soothing and reducing redness.
Step 6️⃣: Oxygen Therapy with Zemits OxiVelour
  • Oxygen therapy using the Zemits Oxivelour Oxygen Dome was applied to boost healing, recovery, and cell saturation. Oxygen also prevents the spreading of acne-causing bacteria.
Step 7️⃣: Zemits Oxytight boosting serum with Oxygen Gun
  • The final active step involved applying the Zemits Repairing Serum using the oxygen gun, enhancing moisture levels and giving the skin a radiant glow.
Step 8️⃣: Finishing Cream and SPF
  • The session concluded with a calming, active ingredient-rich finishing cream and SPF 50 to protect the skin from sun damage.
Supplementation & Aftercare
The client was advised to take supplements (Vitamin A, Zinc, Omega 3, Probiotics, D3, B Complex) and follow a strict aftercare routine, which included prescribed products and a dietary plan. The holistic approach, combined with advanced skincare technology, was expected to yield excellent results.
Treatment Continuation
For the remaining sessions, the treatment protocol from session four was repeated until the skin showed significant improvement in inflammation, congestion, and pigmentation. The client followed all aftercare directions, which contributed to the healing process.
Results
After eight sessions, the client experienced a significant reduction in acne, clearer pores, reduced inflammation, and improved skin texture. Post-acne hyperpigmentation faded, and overall oiliness was more controlled. The use of Zemits equipment, combined with a holistic approach and proper skincare products, yielded transformative results.
Conclusion
This clinical study demonstrates the effectiveness of Zemits technologies in treating challenging acne cases.
The multifaceted approach, utilising HydroDiamond™ cleansing & exfoliation facial, manual extraction, chemical peels, LED therapy, Oxygen Dome therapy, oxygen mesotherapy treatments, and proper aftercare, showcases the potential of Zemits equipment in addressing a range of skin conditions.
