Cavitation is a treatment for removing excess fat deposits using ultrasound (an acoustic wave). The assumption arose that cavitation effects are also possible in fat cells, and this assumption turned out to be true.
Cavitation is the effect of low-frequency ultrasound (from 38 to 42 kHz) on adipocytes, as a result of which cavitation microbubbles are formed in the fat layer. As they grow in size, they liquefy fat and displace it from adipocytes. When the bubbles collide inside the fat cell, a kind of microexplosion occurs. These microexplosions damage the cell membranes of adipocytes. And due to the tension of adipocytes, the membranes of the most fat-filled cells are destroyed. The released triglycerides, which make up fat cells, are removed from the intercellular space using natural metabolic processes.
Muscle fibers, nerves, capillaries and vessels have a denser structure and a high coefficient of elasticity, cavitation does not affect them, and even vice versa - it has a local micromassage.
What does cavitation do?
Ultrasonic cavitation allows you to get rid of cellulite, reduce localised body fat and helps to sculpt the silhouette. The effect is the reduction of localized fat deposits on love handles, abdomen, buttocks and thighs. Cavitation is even used to correct defects after surgical liposuction.
