From Congested to Clear: A Pore-Refining Protocol on the Zemits Verstand HD Pro

One session — and this 26-year-old client's skin looked clearer, smoother, and visibly more radiant, with the nose area noticeably decongested.

Cleanse → Exfoliate → Extract → Calm → Finish

She came in with clogged, congested pores, uneven texture, and a dull, uneven-looking tone. On skin like this, controlled clearing matters more than intensity — so Giezi Chacón built the protocol around exactly that picture:

Client: female, 26
Skin type: Fitzpatrick IV, congestion-prone
Main concern: clogged pores and uneven texture
Visible signs: open comedones/congestion on the nose, uneven texture, dull and uneven-looking tone
Sessions: 1
Protocol goal: clearer-looking pores, smoother texture, a more even and radiant tone
Visible result: a decongested nose, a smoother surface, more even light reflection

At first glance, this looks like a simple "clear the pores" request. But the skin was showing several connected factors:

Congestion and clogged pores

In the pore openings, sebum mixes with dead corneocytes, so the openings read darker and more noticeable — most of all across the nose

Uneven texture and light

Micro-roughness and wider-looking pore openings scatter light unevenly, so the skin looks duller and less smooth

Why a gentle hand matters here

On Fitzpatrick IV skin, excess friction or heat can easily leave patches of darker color. That's why the whole protocol is built on controlled clearing rather than intensity.

Giezi performed the protocol in the following sequence:

Step 1. Cleanse & Prep

What was done: Steam plus a cleanser — about 5 minutes of steam before the device steps.
Why: To soften the surface film (sebum, residue) and the contents of the pores.
What happens in the skin: The warmth softens the sebum-keratin contents inside the pore openings and opens them, evenly prepping the surface for the steps that follow.

Step 2. Ultrasonic Exfoliation + Extraction

What was done: The Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber modality of the Zemits Verstand HD Pro — the scrubber glides across a moistened surface and lifts softened debris — followed by controlled manual extraction in the congested zones.
Why: First remove surface debris and dead cells, then precisely release the pore openings.
What happens in the skin: The scrubber blade vibrates at an ultrasonic frequency; these rapid oscillations knock softened corneocytes and sebaceous buildup off the surface — a thin film of serum acts as the coupling medium — without friction or trauma. Manual extraction then clears stubborn comedones point by point, with minimal pressure.

Step 3. HydroDiamond® Technology

What was done: The HydroDiamond® modality of the Zemits Verstand HD Pro with the Hydro Extraction tip, combined with a Lactic Acid serum (Zemits HydroClear Pro) and a peptide serum (Zemits OxyTight Pro).
Why: To finish clearing the pore openings with hydro-vacuum action while delivering actives onto the prepared surface.
What happens in the skin: The Hydro Extraction tip uses gentle vacuum to draw softened contents out of the pore openings, clearing remaining buildup. At the same time, the Lactic Acid serum evenly exfoliates dead cells of the stratum corneum, while the peptide serum supports the look of more elastic skin.

Step 4. Cold Therapy

What was done: The Cold Handpiece modality of the Zemits Verstand HD Pro, worked over the Conductive Gel with Peptides (Zemits FirmingGenius Pro).
Why: To cool and calm the skin right after the active steps.
What happens in the skin: Cold briefly constricts the surface vessels, visually reducing redness and the sensation of heat after extraction. This supports a calmer, more polished look. The gel also serves as the conductive medium and delivers actives: Centella Asiatica supports a calmer appearance, aloe and cucumber soothe and hydrate, and peptides support the look of firmness.

Step 5. High Frequency

What was done: A high-frequency pass with the Zemits PureKio PRO.
Why: To round off the work on the just-cleared pores with a cleaner, calmer-looking surface.
What happens in the skin: The high-frequency current forms a thin ozone layer at the surface, along with a mild warmth, supporting a cleaner and more balanced look. As a result, the pores look tidier and the surface looks more matte and comfortable.

Step 6. Oxygen Infusion

What was done: The Oxygen Serum Gun of the Zemits Verstand HD Pro misted a Hyaluronic Acid serum (Zemits LuminOxy Pro) as a fine spray.
Why: To apply the serum evenly onto the prepared surface.
What happens in the skin: The serum leaves the applicator as a gentle oxygen mist and settles evenly onto the skin. Hyaluronic acid holds water at the surface for a more hydrated look, while Bearberry Extract and lemon peel oil support a brighter, more even-looking tone.

Step 7. Red LED + Oxygen Dome

What was done: About 10 minutes in the oxygen-enriched dome of the Zemits OxiVelour PRO with the Zemits VivaLumix Red LED at 630 nm.
Why: To add light-based support in a comfortable oxygen environment and seal the result.
What happens in the skin: Red light at 630 nm works through photobiomodulation — absorbed by light-sensitive structures in the epidermis and supporting cellular energy signaling; paired with the oxygen-enriched dome, it supports a more even, rested-looking tone.

Step 8. Peel-Off Mask Finish

What was done: The treatment closes with a Casmara peel-off mask over the full face.
Why: To seal the result and leave the skin a soothing, comfortable finish.
What happens in the skin: The mask forms a continuous occlusive layer that keeps the applied serum in contact with the surface and slows moisture loss.

Each step set up the next: first surface prep and clearing, then targeted formulas on prepared skin, and finally an oxygen-and-light finish sealed with an occlusive layer

Client Feedback:

"Over the following days, my skin looked smoother and brighter, with better texture."

Visible Result After One Sessions

Visible Result After One Session

The skin looked:

  • clearer across the nose and pores
  • smoother in texture
  • more even and brighter in tone
  • calmer

The most noticeable change was how the skin caught the light: once surface buildup and roughness were reduced, the nose looked clearer and more radiant.
